Hanoi:Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, emphasized the importance of defining the values and sense of civic responsibility that will shape the future Azerbaijani society. He highlighted the need for educating the younger generation not only on national and moral values but also on fostering citizens who are aware of their national identity and can independently address modern challenges. Mammadov noted that a state’s sustainable development relies on its moral foundations, historical memory, and citizens’ patriotism, alongside economic and technological capabilities.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, Mammadov stated that religious values should promote human dignity, compassion, justice, mutual respect, social solidarity, and peace. He asserted that there is no contradiction between Azerbaijan’s secular state model and religious-spiritual values. Instead, freedom of religious belief, the rule of law, secularism, and respect for national-spiritual values are elements that reinforce each other, contributing to the country’s social stability and solidarity.
