Baku: Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have been selected to co-host the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2027, as confirmed by the FIFA Executive Committee during its regular meeting on October 2. This event will represent the 25th edition of the tournament, a biennial event that began in 1977.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, this will be the first occasion where men’s World Cup matches are held in Azerbaijan. Additionally, it signifies the first-ever participation of Azerbaijan’s national men’s team in the final round of a FIFA World Cup.
