Ashgabat: The foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan convened for another round of consular consultations in Ashgabat on September 2. The discussions centered on the current state and future prospects for bilateral consular cooperation between the two nations.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the consultations addressed the protection of the rights and interests of citizens from both countries. A significant focus was on simplifying existing visa regimes to facilitate easier travel and interaction. Additionally, the two sides explored cooperation in various other sectors, including internal affairs, citizenship, migration, justice, and education.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the heads of the delegations signed the meeting protocol. They also agreed to hold the next round of consultations in Baku next year, further strengthening the partnership between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.
