Azerbaijan and Italy Strengthen Green Economy and Technology Collaboration

Baku: Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Italy is gradually expanding beyond the traditional energy sector to encompass new areas, including green technologies and innovation, Italian expert Domenico Letizia said in the latest episode of the “Azerbaijan and the World” program broadcast on the AZERTAC website.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Letizia highlighted that although oil and gas remain significant components of bilateral cooperation, in recent years, there has been a shift in priorities toward environmental transition, the development of renewable energy sources, and the modernization of the agricultural sector.

Letizia further elaborated that Italian companies are actively participating in projects in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, where they are introducing advanced technologies and engineering solutions, particularly in the construction of “smart cities” and modern infrastructure. He assessed that the “Made in Italy” brand is becoming not only a symbol of quality but also a tool for sustainable development and technological modernization.
