Marrakech: An agreement on training services has been signed between the State Civil Aviation Agency of Azerbaijan and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). The accord was finalized during the 5th Global Implementation Support Symposium of ICAO in Marrakech, Morocco.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Azerbaijani delegation was led by Samir Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport. They engaged in bilateral meetings with ICAO officials, including President of the ICAO Council Toshiyuki Onuma and Secretary General Juan Carlos Salazar. The discussions focused on the development of Azerbaijan’s aviation sector and existing cooperation with ICAO, covering initiatives like the ACT-SAF program on sustainable aviation fuels and the Alat Green Airport initiative.
In addition, the Azerbaijani delegation met with Abdessamad Kayouh, Morocco’s Minister of Transport and Logistics. The meetings addressed transport issues of mutual concern and explored ways to enhance cooperation. The officials emphasized the importance of establishing regular flights and improving air connectivity between the two countries.
