Azerbaijan and Finland Engage in Political Consultations in Baku


Baku: The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Finland have recently conducted another round of political consultations in Baku. The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev, while the Finnish delegation was headed by Sari Rautio, Director General of the Euro-Atlantic Department at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland.



According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the discussions between the two countries focused on political relations, emphasizing the importance of sustaining continuous dialogue through reciprocal visits and meetings during international events. The consultations also covered the current state and future development opportunities in economic, humanitarian, and educational fields, including cooperation within international organizations.



The officials reviewed strategic energy and transport projects that have been implemented through Azerbaijan’s initiative and participation. Additionally, the meetings provided a platform for a comprehensive exchange of views on the regional situation, the Armenia-Azerbaijan reconciliation process, and the extensive restoration, reconstruction, and demining activities currently underway in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories.
