Yerevan: Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan has emphasized the need for Armenia and Azerbaijan to intensify their efforts to open communications in the South Caucasus region. Kostanyan’s remarks came during a panel session titled ‘South Caucasus: On the Path to Becoming a Strategic Center,’ held at the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum, as reported by APA’s correspondent in Trkiye.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Kostanyan highlighted that the South Caucasus is currently one of the world’s most stable regions, despite ongoing global disruptions in logistics and supply chains. He noted that these disruptions are temporary, and the region must leverage its competitive advantages.
Kostanyan stressed that achieving the goal of open communications requires strong political will and decisions, forming an integral part of the peace agenda. He urged Armenia and Azerbaijan to make new, significant political decisions to enhance connectivity, facilitating a seamless link between Europe, Central Asia, and the Far East.
