Working trip of President Zhaparov to Jalal-Abad Oblast completed

On Dec. 18-19, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov paid a two-day working visit to Jalal-Abad Oblast, his press service said.

As part of the trip, Zhaparov took part in the opening of a new building of an Office of the State Committee for National Security in Jalal-Abad Oblast.

Further, the president visited Kyrgyz Petroleum Company CJSC under Kyrgyzneftegaz OJSC, which this year made a record profit of KGS 160 million, while last year the plant was at a loss of KGS 47 million.

Kyrgyzneftegaz OJSC, which owns 100 percent of Kyrgyz Petroleum Company CJSC, also achieved successful indicators. Thus, the company’s net profit in the current year compared to 2020 has increased from KGS 558 million to KGS 2.5 billion (4.5-fold growth).

On the second day of the trip, the Kyrgyz leader familiarized with the state of medicine in Jalal-Abad Oblast, using the regional clinical hospital as an example.

Sadyr Zhaparov toured the new building, wards and surgical unit of the medical institution, which provides specialized medical care to the population of the oblast.

He also met and talked with the staff of the Jalal-Abad Oblast Clinical Hospital.

On the same day, Zhaparov got acquainted with the progress of construction of the tunnel through the Kok-Art Pass on the alternative North-South highway.

He instructed the Ministry of Transport and Communications to control the timely implementation of the construction project of the alternative North-South highway, which must meet all modern standards and international requirements.

In addition, Zhaparov met with residents of Suzak region. During the meeting, local residents voiced a number of problems concerning the provision of water in the region, as well as the construction of roads and schools.

After completing his working trip, Sadyr Zhaparov returned to Bishkek on Dec. 19.
