Volume of industrial production in Kyrgyzstan reaches over KGS 15 bln
In January-May 2022, the volume of industrial production in Kyrgyzstan amounted to more than KGS 150 billion, the National Statistics Committee of the country said.
Compared to January-May last year, the industrial output increased by 11.1% due to growth of production of wood and paper products, printing activities (by 30.3%), basic metals and fabricated metal products, except for machinery and equipment (by 29.7%), oil products (by 16.8%), food (including drinks) and tobacco products (by 10.5%), pharmaceutical products (by 3.5%), as well as in mining (by 7.9%).
Positive trends were observed in construction, where the increase in volumes amounted to 3.1%, agriculture – 2.2%, and wholesale and retail trade – 8.8 %.
