Video cameras to be installed in 80% of Astana’s territory

Currently, within the framework of the project of ILSS of “Astana Innovations”, 1,300 CCTV cameras are integrated into the single system, of which 393 are cameras of “Astana Innovations” JSC, and 907 are integrated cameras.

Also, by the beginning of EXPO-2017, 26 new stop pavilions, several shopping and entertainment centers, sports complexes, mosques have been connected. All cameras were given access to employees of the Operational Control Center of the Department of Internal Affairs of Astana.

It is worth noting, the project “Video Surveillance in Astana City” is implemented within the framework of the transformation of the capital into a “smart city” through the improvement of infrastructure and management methods.

“This project is aimed at ensuring safety and improving the quality of life of residents and visitors of the capital, minimizing the number of offenses, accidents on the roads. Also, intelligent technology will automate operations to analyze the life of the city, make decisions based on this analysis. In general, the implementation of the project will improve the level of quality of life and security in the capital”, the message reads.

In the future, it is planned to increase the level of security in the capital by introducing technical means of video surveillance and photo and video-fixing facilities covering the territory of Astana to 80%.
