The Vice Premier met with the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, Vasily Matyushevsky, and the Minister of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus, Sergei Popkov. The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the field of information technologies.

Then the representatives of Kazakhstan visited the High-Tech Park of Belarus. The park’s residents are engaged in software development, digital solutions for various industries. According to Vsevolod Yanchevsky, Director of the Park of High Technologies Administration, due to the absence of an internal market, start-ups are initially focused on competition with foreign companies, so their products are high quality and unique. Today, several Belarusian start-ups have already gained worldwide popularity.

The experience of the High-Tech Park can be useful for Kazakhstan’s Astana IT-Hub. At the end of the meeting, the parties reached an agreement on further cooperation, possibly on the Astana IT-Hub site.

In addition, the Kazakh delegation held a number of meetings with Belarusian companies that offered digital solutions for urban infrastructure, industries, agriculture, security and other spheres. The companies see the great potential of the Kazakhstan market and are ready to participate in the projects of the Digital Kazakhstan program.
