Vice Minister of Religious Affairs and Civil Society appointed

By the decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan No.618 of October 25, 2016, Berik Aryn was appointed a Vice Minister of Religious Affairs and Civil Society. This was informed by the Committee for Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Civil Society of Kazakhstan. Berik Aryn had been earlier released of his duties of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Morocco, Peoples Democratic Republic of Algeria, Republic of Tunisia concurrently due to transfer to another position.

Born in 1969, Berik Aryn graduated from Al Farabi Kazakh State National University with a degree in Philology and Kazakh State Law University with a degree in Jurisprudence.

Professional career began in 1994 with a position of referent at the Middle East and Africa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 1994-1995, attache of the Middle East and Africa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan; 1996-2001, attache, the third secretary, the second secretary, the first secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; 2001-2002, head of Bilateral Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan; March September 2002, head of Asia, Middle East and Africa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan; 2002-2005, Counselor of the Embassy of Kazakhstan to the Arab Republic of Egypt; 2006-2007, Chief Inspector at the Foreign Policy Centre, Executive Office of the President of Kazakhstan; 2007-2009, head of Department for Inter-parliamentary Relations and International Cooperation, the State Administration (Apparatus) of the Senate of Parliament; 2009-2011, deputy head of the State Administration (Apparatus) of the Senate of Parliament; since December 2011, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Arab Republic of Egypt; since February 2012, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Arab League; since May 2012, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Morocco concurrently; since April 2015, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Peoples Democratic Republic of Algeria, Republic of Tunisia concurrently.
