“Uly Dala Urpagy” Contest Is Held in the Capital
In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the country’s Independence, Astana is hosting the I National Contest of Young Heirs of Makhambet titled “Uly Dala Urpagy”.
The competition has brought together 250 participants from Astana, Aktobe, Karaganda, Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan and Akmola regions aged 7 to 16.
The competition is conducted in five categories: the best young writer, the best theater-goer, expressive reading, instrumental and vocal art.
During the competition, 25 sets of medals will be drawn. Each participant will receive a badge of “The Young Heir of Makhambet”.
The winner and prize-holder of many competitions in Aktobe Akbota Burkitbayeva has arrived in Astana for the first time. She is aimed at winning, as usual, and her rival in the category of “The Young Writer” is Talgat Sagdatov. The 10th grade student got the opportunity to participate in the national competition after winning the school competition.
“We’ve written three essays. The topic of “Star Steps of Kazakhstan” seemed bright and interesting to me. In my essay, I’ve spoke about the achievements of independent Kazakhstan and the win to host EXPO in Astana”, – he says.
The contest will last within two days. Today, members of the jury will determine the winners, and a gala concert has been scheduled for tomorrow.
