Two-million inhabitant born in Almaty region
With the birth of the baby who became the 2-million inhabitant of Almaty region, the Governor of the region Amandyk Batalov congratulated the family and handed the keys from 2-room apartment.

Therefore, it is very symbolic that our Muslim New Year begins with such a significant event: a birth of a two-million resident of Almaty region. The birth of the child is always an important event for every family, and the birth of the two-million resident of the region is a milestone in our history, opening up new opportunities for moving forward. From the bottom of the heart I congratulate parents with this joyful event, wish wisdom and patience. Let the baby grow up healthy and happy. I am sure that a beautiful future awaits the baby in our country”, – A. Batalov said.
It should be noted that the mother of the baby is 28-year-old Zh. Emenakynova works in Issyk Humanitarian College as a teacher of psychology. A 29-year-old father, D. Shormanov, holds the position of Deputy Director for the academic part of the secondary school named after O. Zhandosov. In a family the 3-year-old daughter grows up.
“For me, as for any mom, today is a big holiday – the second baby was born in our young family. Now they were very happy, they handed the keys to the apartment. On behalf of my whole family I want to thank the Head of State for the created conditions, by this we have a healthy baby, all the doors are opened for him and he has already had his own housing. I wish the population of Zhetysu and the whole country to grow every day. So that everyone will know the joy of motherhood. We called our son Nursultan”, – the happy mother reported.
Over the past 5 years, the birth rate has increased in Almaty region – from 24.3 in 2011 to 25.3 in 2016. Daily 110-115 children are born on average in the region. Yenbekshikazakh, Karasai, Ile, Zhambyl and Talgar regions make a big contribution to the positive growth of the region’s population, where from 4 to 6 thousand newborns are born annually.
