The film directed by Talgat Temenov, known for such films as Wolf among the People, Running Target, Station of Love, tells the story of friendship between two solitude – a six-year-old pupil of an orphanage and a veteran from the Nursing Home.

For me, this news was a big surprise. My friend, a famous Serbian art historian who was at this film festival, called me and said that our picture was recognized as the best children’s film. Of course, I am very pleased with this event. This is a big victory for the Little Prince, said the director of the film.

Recall that in the summer of 2018, Kazakhstani actor Toleubek Aralbay, who played the main role in the film, received the prize Best Male Role at the film festival of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member countries. The picture was also presented in the main competition of the II International Film Festival “Eurasian Bridge”.

It is worth noting that the film Shynyrau (The Abyss), which was also presented at the Dhaka Film Festival, was awarded a prize. The work of Kazakhstani cameraman Rivkat Ibragimov was recognized as the best in the competition of Asian films. Film director Zhanabek Zhetiruov personally presented a picture of the local public.

At the festival in Dhaka there were many experts from different countries who were interested in Shynyrau and invited to festivals in their countries. The festival life of our picture is just beginning. Therefore, I think we have everything ahead, said film director Zhanabek Zhetiruov.

The Dacca International Film Festival has been held since 1992. The film forum is considered the most prestigious in Bangladesh. The film festival is organized by the cinema club Rainbow Film Society. The main objectives of the festival – to acquaint residents of Bangladesh with mainstream films from around the world and contribute to the development of cinema of Bangladesh.

This year the festival in Dhaka brought together representatives from 72 countries. 220 films were shown. The festival program included competition sections: Asian Cinema, Retrospective, Panoramas of Bangladesh, Cinema of the World, Children’s Films, Short and Independent Films, Women Cinematographers and Spiritual Films.
