Turkmen passport entered top 100 of world ranking

The passport of Turkmenistan in the second quarter of 2022 ranked 92nd in the “World Passport Index”, published by the Swiss consulting company Henley & Partners, Turkmenportal reported.

Analysts compared the passports of more than 200 countries. Indexing is based on how many countries the holder of an identity document can visit without a visa or by obtaining a simplified visa.

It is noted that residents of Turkmenistan can visit 52 countries without a visa.

The passports of Japan, Singapore, the Republic of Korea and Germany took the top lines of the world ranking. Thus, 192 countries are open for the Japanese and Singaporeans, and 190 states for citizens of the Republic of Korea and Germany.

Afghanistan and Iraq are at the bottom of the rankings.
