On Oct. 15, 2021, Minister of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan Boobek Azhikeev met with President of TIKA Serkan Kayalar, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.

During the meeting, the sides noted the importance of the meeting in the context of the development of Kyrgyz-Turkish relations, developing in the spirit of brotherhood, and TIKA expressed readiness to develop cooperation with the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan.

The Kyrgyz minister acquainted the President of TIKA with the activities of the Ministry of Emergencies and the situation with the prevention and elimination of emergencies in Kyrgyzstan.

At the same time, Azhikeev drew Kayalar’s attention to the possibility of implementing 2 joint projects with TIKA, aimed at increasing the potential of the rescue and diving units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic and at the construction of a rehabilitation center on Issyk-Kul Lake, project proposals will be submitted to the TIKA program office in .Bishkek.

The president of TIKA assured the readiness to consider these project proposals and take measures for a positive solution of this issue.

At the end of the meeting, the sides expressed their hope for further fruitful cooperation in protecting the population and territories from natural and man-made emergencies.
