Turdakun Usubaliev was statesman of all-Union scale – President
Turdakun Usubaliev was a statesman, party figure not only of republican but also of all-Union scale, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov said at the solemn event in honor of the 100th anniversary of statesman and politician Turdakun Usubaliev.
Turdakun Usubaliev worked in Moscow for 12 years, visited almost all republics of the Soviet Union. He knew the life, economy and culture of other Soviet republics well. It has allowed him to get deep knowledge, a wide sight at things and events, to get a wide political experience.
During the years of leadership of Kyrgyzstan, Turdakun Usubaliev was elected a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR five times. At plenums and congresses of the Central Committee of the CPSU, he raised topical and problematic issues, and managed to prove himself as a party leader who favours the interests of the entire Union, the President said.
President Jeenbekov said Turdakun Usubaliev was a party figure who served the interests of the party faithfully, but at the same time, it is obvious that his whole life, his entire work was always devoted to the people and the country.
Turdakun Usubaliev was a Soviet Union-era Kyrgyz politician and First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan in the period 1961 1985. Usubalijev died in September 2015 at the age of 95.
