Turdakun Usubaliev is symbolic figure of whole era: Jeenbekov
On the eve of the 100th anniversary of prominent statesman and politician of Kyrgyzstan Turdakun Usubaliev, President Sooronbay Jeenbekov met with his grandson Ermek Usubaliev, the press service of the President reported.
The exchange of views on the events within the framework of Turdakun Usubaliev’s 100th anniversary, including a number of cultural and scientific events, memorial evenings, preparation of biographical publications, etc. took place.
The President shared his memories of Turdakun Usubaliev, noting his outstanding contribution to the strengthening of the Kyrgyz statehood, social and economic development of the country and all spheres of society.
Jeenbekov emphasized that Turdakun Usubaliev is a significant figure of the whole era, which occupies a unique place in the history of Kyrgyzstan.
Ermek Usubaliev expressed his gratitude to the head of state for his initiative and support to widely celebrate the 100th anniversary of Turdakun Usubaliev. He noted all the planned events were held on time, and stressed with satisfaction the work of state bodies involved.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Ermek Usubaliev summed up the results of preparations for the solemn event within the framework of the 100th anniversary of Turdakun Usubaliev, which will be held on his birthday, Nov. 6 at the Kyrgyz National Philharmonic Society named after Toktogul Satylganov.
Turdakun Usubaliev was a Soviet Union era Kyrgyz politician and First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan in the period 1961�1985. Usubalijev died in September 2015 at the age of 95.
