Traffic Restriction Has Been Scheduled in Astana for July 18
On July 18, Astana will host a series of events, in connection with which traffic will be partially restricted in the city.
Thus, at 20.00, “Astana Arena” Stadium will have a football match of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League between the teams “Astana” and “Spartak” of Jurmala. In addition, within the framework of EXPO-2017 International Specialized Exhibition, “Saryarka” Cycle Track will host a concert of Korean pop stars on the same day at 19.30.
In this regard, on July 18, traffic will be restricted along Kabanbai Batyr and Turan avenues in the section from Kerei and Zhanibek Khandary streets to Uly Dala Avenue from 6 pm. The restriction will continue until the end of the event. The recommended bypass route is along Mangilik Yel Avenue, streets of Turkestan and Akmeshit.
Residents and guests of the city will be able to reach the stadium using twelve public transport routes: No. 10, No. 12, No. 27, No. 37, No. 40, No. 51, No. 53, No. 501, No. 502, No. 503, No. 505, No. 506. At the same time, from 6 pm, football fans and spectators will be delivered to Astana Arena parking lot by special shuttle buses from four locations.
Special shuttle buses locations:
– “Kazakhstan” Sports Complex parking lot,
– “Nur Astana” Mosque,
– the Capital’s Circus,
– Zhastar Palace.
The fare for special shuttle buses is the same as in public transport, which is 90 tenge; season tickets are invalid.
One can return to the city after the game and the concert using the following bus routes: Nos. 10, 12, 28, 40, 51, 303. At 9 pm, shuttle buses will be also provided to the parking lot of the stadium and the bus stop of “Astana Arena” along Kabanbai Batyr Avenue. In addition, official city taxi carriers will be provided.
The Local Police Service of Astana DIA is requesting motorists to leave their cars in favor of public transport. Citizens who are planning to travel to the area of Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport and residents of nearby villages are advised to plan their routes in advance.
The city authorities are requesting residents to maintain cleanliness and order during the public mass events.
