Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Poland increased by 75,5%

Poland has actively participated at the International exhibition of EXPO-2017 in Astana, with the aim to strengthen the economic contacts between Kazakhstan and Poland, expanding of presence of the Polish investments, commodities and services on the Kazakhstan market. Future Energy of the Polish pavilion is presented in the form of the modern coal technologies, green techniques of development, production of energy, biomass, as well as digitization of energy market, representatives of Poland said.

According to N. Dobrzynska, the main event of the Polish participation at Expo-2017 will be the Kazakh-Polish business forum and the National Day of Poland within the framework of the visit of the President of Poland Andrzej Duda to Astana on September 6-7 this year.

This is the second forum of entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan and Poland. The first was held in Warsaw in August 23, 2016 within the state visit of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev to Poland. It should be noted that the results of the previous visit facilitated to considerable activization of the bilateral trade and economic and investments cooperation, she said.

Thus, according to data of the Ministry of development, the bilateral trade turnover for the first half-year of 2017 comprised 601,9 million euros, which comparing to the indicator of the given period of 2016 showed an increase by 75,5%; the Kazakhstan export comprised 389,1 million euros, with an increase by almost 90% (205 million euros in 2016), and import from Poland increased by 54,5% and comprised 212,8 million euros. (according to data of the SRC of the MF of Kazakhstan the trade turnover for January-June 2017 comprised 314,57 million dollars).

To date, more than 240 Polish representatives were approved to participate at the Forum, among them are more than 140 companies, the number of registered participants at the Astana forum is one of significant during the whole history of outdoor business-forums, which underlines the special interest of the Polish business to the Kazakhstan market, Deputy Chairman of the Polish agency noted

Besides, during a press-conference, it was said that the EXPO-2017 is a good opportunity for the Polish partners to develop the dialogue with the Kazakhstan counterparts in term of participating of the Polish city Lodz to conduct EXPO-2022.
