There is the first Kazakhstani registration certificate for a medicinal product on the territory of the EAEU
The Republic of Kazakhstan issued the first in the territory of the EAEU countries a registration certificate of a medicinal product for medical use.
In addition, in 2018, within the framework of the EAEU, Kazakhstan accepted 23 applications from foreign and domestic pharmaceutical manufacturers to conduct drug examinations as a reference state. This became known during the press conference in the CCS.
In total, in 2018 more than 6.5 thousand examinations of medicines and medical devices were carried out, which is 18% more compared to 2017. Of the total number of examinations conducted – 3% (176) refusals to register, that is, poor-quality medicines and medical devices were not allowed into the Kazakhstan market, said Lyudmila Byurabekova, chairman of the Pharmacy Committee of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As the chairman of the pharmacy committee explained, only in 2018 the number of refusals was 1% or 863 preparations did not meet the quality and safety requirements.
Lyudmila Byurabekova noted that every year the National Center for the Expertise of Medicines issues about 63 thousand opinions on the safety and quality of drugs imported and manufactured in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
