Primary students from 95 schools of the capital have participated in the art competition, held for the prevention of traffic accidents among children.
Following the evaluation of the committee, the first place has been taken by the student of the Gymnasium School No. 70 Yelaman Kardash. A separate prize has been given to Denis Tsibilskiy from the School-Kindergarten No. 33 as to the youngest participant. The contest organizers are planning to publish the works of the winners on the city’s bus shelters.
“By virtue of the age specifics, it is easier for children to perceive information through drawing; therefore, we’ve decided to hold a drawing contest to consolidate the knowledge and skills of safe driving on the roads”, – said the Head of the Local Police Service of Astana DIA Bakhytzhan Malybayev.
To prevent the involvement of children in traffic accidents, the police officers of Astana daily conduct preventive works with students, are watching the order near schools that are located close to the roadway. On a regular basis, the city police officers hold campaigns, meetings and contests. Information videos are placed on the city’s LED-screens and in the public transport to cover as many children as possible.
