THE VOLUME OF FREIGHT TRAFFIC BETWEEN KAZAKHSTAN AND MONGOLIA INCREASED BY 15%
Today, the regular meeting of the Kazakh-Mongolian Mobility Commission on Road Transport took place in Astana within the Intergovernmental Agreement on International Road Transport between the Republic of Kazakhstan and Mongolia on November 22, 1993.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of passenger and cargo transportation, as well as exchanged information on the volume of freight traffic between the Republic of Kazakhstan and Mongolia, and this year the volume of freight traffic between the two countries increased.
By the end of 2018, the volume of freight traffic between Kazakhstan and Mongolia increased by 15% and amounted to 6.7 thousand tons. The main cargoes transported by motor transport are paper and paper products, ready-made food and wood products, etc.
During the negotiations, the parties agreed to exchange forms of authorization for 200 carriers, 200 third countries and 50 non-stationary passengers in addition to 2019 quota.
In addition, the parties agreed to a preliminary quota exchange of forms of authorization for 2020 from 300 universal, 200 third countries / countries and 50 passengers on unstable traffic.
Following the meeting, the Protocol was signed.
