The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2016, pursuant to the instructions of the Head of State, has been carrying out systematic work to expand access to higher education. One of the results is the possibility of taking the UNT from 2019 4 times a year: January, March, June and August, he said.

According to the speaker, participation in the January, March and August UNT gives the applicant the right to enroll in universities only in the paid department.

If an applicant wants to receive a state grant, then he must pass the June UNT, and only on its results can he participate in a grant competition. It should be noted that not a single tiyn of state money is spent on holding the above-mentioned events, he stressed.

According to R.Alimkulov, the first winter UNT passed from January 18 to 20. The total number of UNT holding points is 74, the number of applications is 35,838 people, incl. 25615 people – to Kazakh language, 10 162 people. – in Russian language, 61 people. – to ang. language. By categories of participants: 29 789 people. – 11 (12) grade students, 3,268 people. – conditionally credited, 2,781 people. – translators from creative specialties to others, the speaker cited statistics.

34 687 people participated in the UNT, 9 of them tested with disabilities, overcame the threshold level – 24 012 people. (69%), not overcome – 10 675 people. (31%).

According to the speaker, the combination of Mathematics-Physics was chosen by 8,430 applicants (28.8%), Chemistry-Biology – 5839 (19.9%) for the combinations of specialized subjects.

This confirms that our graduates correctly understand the social initiative of the Head of State to increase government grants primarily for technical specialties by an additional 20 thousand rubles, said R.Alimkulov.

In total, applications were submitted to the Republican Appeal Commission on the content of the tests – 8 applications, of which 3 were satisfied.

It should be noted that last year, 243 were received on the content of test tasks, of which 101 were satisfied. At the same time, out of the satisfied only 21 test questions, this is an incorrectly composed task, the rest, basically, this is the correct answer does not coincide with the code of correct answers – 56, etc., the speaker informed.

Ramazan Alimkulov said that the database has more than 120 thousand test tasks.

In this regard, the test tasks for which a positive decision was made is only 0.4% of the total. All this confirms that the quality of test tasks is improving from year to year, he noted.

The speaker also noted that in order to improve the conditions for the tested, as well as last year, the following measures are envisaged:

All graduates, along with the certificate, are given information sheets, which will list the educational programs for which they can apply; the number of grants allocated in the current year; the results of the competition for past years grant and semi-pass points of last year;

providing graduates with the opportunity to pass UNT in the next stream in case of absence for valid reasons;

children with special educational needs will be provided with individual assistants and sign language interpreters;

for holders of Altyn Belgi signs, the priority will be taken into account when the points are equal. Along with this, according to R.Alimkulov, the modernization of technological processes for conducting test activities continues: – on-line broadcast; – further equipment of all audiences with modern means of cellular signal suppressors; – launch of a single free call center.
