The President of Kazakhstan met with the OSCE Chairman
The President of Kazakhstan met with the President of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Miroslav Lajcak, the press service of Akorda reports.
KassymZhomart Tokayev noted the peaceful nature of Kazakhstan’s foreign policy and said that the country is committed to constructive cooperation with international organizations.
“I am glad you came to NurSultan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia and the current Chairman of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe,” the Head of State said.
The head of the international organization emphasized that the purpose of the OSCE is to prevent conflicts, to ensure security, to establish mutually beneficial cooperation, and to emphasize the strategic role of Kazakhstan in the settlement of international crises.
“Thank you for finding time to take me and our delegation. Taking this opportunity, I congratulate you on assuming the post of President and wish you and your country great success. I am glad to be here as the chairman of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, “Miroslav Lajcak said.
During the meeting the sides discussed topical issues of regional and international agenda and outlined prospects for cooperation of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
