The President met with the Rector of the Moscow State University


The President of Kazakhstan, Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev, met with the rector of the Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov Viktor Sadovnichi and Chairman of the Russian Public Council for International Cooperation and Public Diplomacy Sergey Ordzhonikidze, the press service of Akorda reports.

During the meeting, the Head of State noted that the Kazakh-Russian relations are developing successfully on the basis of good-neighborly and allied relations.

“I am glad to welcome you to Nur-Sultan. The branch of the Moscow State University was opened in the capital in the 2000s. Today, this institution, which provides quality education to Kazakhstani students, is functioning successfully. In the course of the recent talks in Moscow, Vladimir Putin noted the high level of bilateral cooperation in the field of education, as well as agreed to develop it on a regular basis, “Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.

Rector of Moscow State University thanked the President of Kazakhstan for the opportunity to meet. V. Sadovnichy noted the long-term cooperation between the universities of both countries was fruitful.

“I have a special interest in Kazakhstan. I am proud that the branch of the Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov has made a great contribution to the training of qualified personnel in a new stage of Kazakhstan’s modernization, “said Victor Sadovnichy.

The sides also exchanged views on topical issues of cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
