The Ministry of Culture and Sport defines priorities for 2017

The Ministry of Culture and Sport plans to aim its potential on improving the quality of human capital, which is the top priority of the Presidential Address Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global competiveness. This was reported during a Government press conference by the Deputy Minister of Culture and Sport Aktoty Raimkulova.

As was noted by A. Raimkulova, within the framework of given priorities the Ministry is implementing the Concept of cultural policy, Concept of sport development, the State Program for development and function of languages-2020.

One of the most important tasks the Ministry has is to increase quality and competitive edge of culture industry, sports, tourism, and education in the creative part and active integration into the global cultural context, the Deputy Minister said.

The list of priorities for the MCS includes the implementation of dual education. According to A. Raimkulova, creative people will achieve high results if they are raised in an environment where artistic activities are included in the educational process. Confirming this is the opening of the unique Choreography Academy in Astana.

Here the education is carried out from first grade to doctorate. We are confident that we will raise within the Academy walls a great number of future ballet stars, world-class stars, A. Raimkulova said.

The Ministry prioritizes the support of youth cultural figures, athletes of Kazakhstan. A striking example of such support is Dimash Kudaibergenov.

Dimash, with active support from the Ministry, participated and won in most prestigious international competitions. Today, he is a messenger of Kazakh culture to the world. It is a great honor for us, the Deputy Minister commented.

Currently, the Ministry is working on creating cultural-tourism and sports tourism clusters. They will contribute to the formation of anchor projects in the field of culture, sports and their branding, A. Raimkulova said. This work is especially relevant against the background of the forthcoming presentation of Kazakh culture at EXPO-2017.

Overall, the key tasks for the Ministry within the framework of the Presidential Address will be reviewed February 16, at the extended board of the Ministry with the participation of deputies, Presidential administration, Government, the leaders of all subordinate organizations of the Ministry, concerned government agencies and the media.

Recall, the Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev in his Presidential Address Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global competiveness defined a clear vector of the new model of economic growth and global competiveness of the country. The top priority within the given direction is improving the quality of human capital.
