The level of industrial development in Kazakhstan has been confirmed by the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan

In the first five months of this year, the industry has grown by 2%, as a result of the development of the mining sector by 0.7% and the manufacturing industry by 3.6%. Deputy Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Amaniyaz Yerzhanov informed about the level of industrial development in the country’s press center.

According to the Deputy Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Amaniyaz Erzhanov, the industry has grown by 11.8 trillion tenge (2%) in the first five months of 2019, the mining sector grew by 6.8 trillion tenge (0.7%) and the industry grew by 4.3 trillion tenge (3.6%).

The second fiveyear plan of industrialization is being implemented in our country since 2015. This year is the last year of the Five Year Plan. In 2018, 102 projects worth 1.3 trillion tenge were launched through the Industrialization Map, creating more than 13 thousand permanent jobs. Following the results of the year 2018, positive results were achieved on all targeted indicators of the Industrialization Map, Deputy Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Amaniyaz Yerzhanov said at the government briefing.

According to him, the Republic of Kazakhstan has maintained positive dynamics in 2019. Growth was also observed in light industry (+23.0%), engineering (+16.0%), oil refining (+ 9.4%), nonferrous metallurgy (+ 7.8%) and chemical industry (+ 0.8%).

During the first 4 months of this year, the volume of exported products amounted to $ 5 billion. In the first four months of 2018, United States dollars , showing a 4% decrease. Labor productivity in the manufacturing industry in the first quarter of 2019 amounted to 2750.1 thousand tenge, the index of actual volume 101.5%. In five months of 2019, investments into the fixed capital of the manufacturing industry totaled $ 254.5 billion. tenge, which means that the volume of real volume decreased by 60.5% to 39.5%.

This year, we plan to implement more than 120 projects of the Industrialization Map by creating 20,000 permanent jobs for 1.1 trillion tenge. In 2019, 10 projects have been commissioned with the creation of 317 permanent jobs for 8 billion tenge, the Deputy Minister noted.

According to the plan, the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the instruction of the Head of State must approve the Industrialization Program for 20202025 by the end of the year. According to him, the main approaches are included in the concept of industrialinnovative development, which was approved by the Government Decree in December last year. The goal of the program is to encourage the international competitiveness of the manufacturing industry and, as a whole, the industrialinnovative policy will be focused on the development of processing industry, focusing on continuity and focusing on exportoriented enterprises and labor productivity.

The main news of this program will be: We are leaving industry priorities in favor of supporting the most profitable manufacturers in all aspects of the manufacturing industry. Of course, for the purpose of strengthening and rational use of budget resources, the support of enterprises will be offered for exchange of counterparties’ commitment to achieving concrete indicators (modernization, export promotion, etc.). In addition, existing instruments will be developed and new tools will be developed for technological modernization and modernization of enterprises, Amaniyaz Yerzhanov said.

The Vice Minister noted that the draft program is currently being developed and agreed, and will soon be publicly disclosed on the publicregulatory portal and the Ministry’s website.
