The Kazakh-Tajik economic cooperation will be promising
In Dushanbe, Kazakh Prime Minister Askar Mamin held a meeting with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon and discussed topical issues of bilateral trade and economic cooperation. 11 documents on strengthening Kazakh-Tajik cooperation were signed during the meeting, totaling more than $ 80 million.
Also, intergovernmental negotiations were held with Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda. Prospects for deepening Kazakh-Tajik cooperation were discussed during the meeting. In 2018 the volume of bilateral trade increased by 8.2%, the trade turnover amounted to $ 900 million. At the same time, the volume of export-import traffic between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan increased by 2.9 times and amounted to 16.9 million tons.
“Your Honorary guest in Kazakhstan remembers your participation in the jubilee meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council,” Askar Mamin said.
The Prime Minister of Tajikistan, Kohir Rasulzoda, said that Tajikistan is the second partner of Tajikistan in the trade turnover. There are also great prospects for Kazakhstan to become Tajikistan’s main trading partner. To this end, the governments of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan are working to increase their mutual trade up to $ 2 billion over the next 3-4 years.
The parties reaffirmed their intention to continue the implementation of agreements reached on increasing the range and expansion of the range of Kazakhstani products. Special attention was paid to the improvement of investment cooperation mechanisms in the fields of agriculture, industry, energy, transport and communications.
“We are ready to boost our investment cooperation through joint investment projects,” said Ms. Mamin.
As part of the official visit of the Kazakh Prime Minister Askar Mamin to Tajikistan, 11 documents were signed to strengthen Kazakh-Tajik cooperation, totaling more than $ 80 million:
Agreement on cooperation between Eurasian Development Bank for $ 35 million, Rokhiy Okhani Tokykiston and KazakhExport JSC;
Agreement on cooperation between “Agromashholding” JSC, “Tadzhselkhalllosing” RMC and “KazakhExport” JSC for $ 20.7 million;
Agreement on cooperation between “Dusti 2017” LLC and “KazakhExport” JSC for $ 16 million;
$ 6 million for Food Contract Corporation NC JSC and the State Agency for Material Reserves under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan;
Agreement on supply of evacuators, tourist buses between HYNDAI Trans Avto Kazakhstan and Holding Asia Group CJSC for $ 1.5 million;
Contract for the supply of canned products for $ 1 million between PALLANT TRADE LLP and Distributor company “Tadero” LLC;
$ 655 to contract for the supply of 50 cars of the Jac brand between “SaryarkaAutoProm” and CJSC “Holding Asia Group Tajikistan”;
Agreement between the Food Contract Corporation JSC and the Agency for State Material Reserves under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan;
Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in the field of trade in agricultural products between Sitab Agro LLC and Continental Agro Trade LLP;
A Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in the field of trade in agricultural products between Metal Invest and LLC Continental Agro Trade;
Minutes of the negotiations between the National Company “Kazakhstan temir zholy” JSC and “Rohi Okhani Tojikiston”.
