The Kazakh-Egyptian business forum took place in Astana
ASTANA, Business delegation headed by First Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry of the Arab Republic of Egypt Ahmed Taha Borae arrived in Kazakhstan on a working visit. The Egyptian side is considering investing in Kazakhstan and is interested in meeting with business and business representatives of the country.
Within the framework of the visit, a business forum with the participation of Kazakhstani companies’ management, a number of ministries and departments of the Egyptian delegation were held with the leadership of the Astana city administration, “Atameken” NCE and the business community “KIT”.
During the forum Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC “NC” Kazakhstan Invest “Marat Birimzhan told about the investment opportunities of Kazakhstan. According to him, during the discussion of the prospects and conditions for the implementation of investment projects, the unified negotiating role of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan is represented by “Kazakh Invest” JSC.
The company interacts with investors on a “one-stop shop” principle and provides support for a wide range of services, starting from idea and implementation prior to its implementation. In particular, the company promotes the registration of a legal entity, obtaining the necessary documents for the implementation and further use of investment projects, as well as the use of state support measures by investors. At the same time, “Kazakh Invest” serves as a single coordinating center for Kazakhstan’s special economic zones.
Close cooperation is established between Kazakhstan and Egypt in the trade and economic sphere. Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Egypt amounted to 83.9 mln. US dollars. Exports included oil and oil products, metal products, flax seeds and others. The import includes aromatic substances, chemical products, products of light and food industry, etc. dominates. At the same time, the two sides have a great potential for further expansion and strengthening of investment and trade and economic cooperation.
