The I Central Asian Youth Festival “Central Asia Youth Festival” is being hosted in Almaty

Speaking at the opening of the forum, with a welcoming speech, the Akim of the city, Bakytzhan Sagintayev, proposed to hold the Youth Forum of volunteers and volunteer organizations of Central Asia in Almaty next year.

The Head of the city emphasized the special role of youth in the development of the state and noted that the decision of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayeva, provides new opportunities for developing partnerships, by declaring 2020 the Year of Volunteers.

Direct youth contacts are an important condition for strengthening the course of strategic partnership, friendship and good neighborliness. Therefore, I propose to the Fund of the First President of Kazakhstan, the UN Representative Office, other interested organizations and guests – all of you, to consider the possibility of holding the Youth Forum of volunteers and volunteer organizations in Central Asia in Almaty in 2020, B. Sagintayev said.

The festival, organized by the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy and the Akimat of Almaty, is dedicated to the Year of Youth in Kazakhstan. The partners in the organization of the event are the UN, the OSCE and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.

The event is aimed at developing the potential of young leaders, creating a permanent dialogue platform for Central Asian youth, regional integration, building partnerships, mobilizing youth resources of the countries of the region and sharing best practices in youth policy.

The festival was attended by the Executive Director of the Fund of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Aset Issekeshev.

The event is expected to be attended by more than 300 guests from different countries – Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. These are members of international organizations, youth leaders, experts, public figures, workers in science and culture, startup entrepreneurs, as well as athletes.

Within the framework of the Festival, participants will discuss a wide range of regional challenges and problems. During the sessions, special emphasis will be placed on the development of IT technologies and a model of peace and harmony, etc.
