The Head of State takes part in presentation of Industrialization map projects and award ceremony for Altyn Sapa and Paryz winners, Akorda press service informs.
The Head of State viewed a photo exhibition dedicated to the main stages of industrial development over the 25 years of Independence.
23 live programs from all the regions of the country were broadcast during the event, in the framework of which existing facilities were presented and the largest Industrialization map projects have been launched.
The President of Kazakhstan noted that industrial development is the most important task of the economy of the country.
We have set a clear course for economic diversification and accelerated growth of non-extractive industries. The state program for accelerated industrial and innovative program for 2010-2014 has produced results. Manufacturing has for the first time in recent history begun to grow faster than mining, N.Nazarbayev says.
The Head of State pointed to the ongoing great work on the necessary infrastructure development.
We have created a reliable energy system, formed the east-west and north-south transport corridors, created a variety of routes and their complementarity. Much attention is paid to such priority sectors of the manufacturing industry as metallurgy, chemicals, oil refining, mechanical engineering and food production, the President of Kazakhstan notes.
According to N.Nazarbayev, over 1 thousand projects 4.6 trillion tenge worth have been introduced over the years of industrialization.
About 100 thousand permanent jobs are created; about 30 transnational corporations from Global 2000 list have been attracted. Railway engineering has been created from scratch. Production of new export commodities, including the petroleum products, batteries, transformers, new metallurgical goods, engineering products was launched, the Head of State concludes.
In the World Banks Ease of Doing Business ranking Kazakhstan has risen to the 35th place among 190 countries of the world.
According to the Head of State, digital technologies are at the forefront in a changing world.
With onset of a new technological era, the active industrialization of the country becomes a strategic priority. In general, our policy is consistent with international experience, and takes into account the current state of the economy and global trends, N.Nazarbayev concludes.
In the words of the Head of State, the large-scale industrialization, which relies on strong government support, is able to bring Kazakhstan to be a part of developed countries, to solve a set of social issues, and to improve the living standards of the population.
The President of Kazakhstan awarded at the event Altyn Sapa contest special awards: The best industrial project AtyrauNefteMash CEO S.Tugelbayev, The Best Innovative Project Chimfarm Director R.Baigarin, Quality Leader ERG Managers Council Chairman A.Mashkevich; the winner is Kazakhstan Eletrolysis Plant. Grand Prix of Paryz was awarded to Aksaigasservice President T.Shektebayev.
In conclusion, the President of Kazakhstan congratulated Kazakhstanis on the upcoming Independence Day.
