The 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Oman

Representatives of the largest news agencies, printed and electronic media of Oman took part in the event.

The Kazakh diplomat briefed journalists on country’s main achievements over the years of independence, carried out in Kazakhstan by political and socio-economic transformations, including the President’s Address “Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness”, the constitutional reform on the redistribution of powers between the branches of power.

Ye. Mukash also spoke about the priority directions of the foreign policy of our country, Kazakhstan’s activity as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council. He invited citizens and residents of Oman to visit the international exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana from June 10 to September 10 this year.

Speaking about the main stages of development of Kazakh-Omani relations, the Ambassador noted that friendly and trustful relations have developed between two countries over the past quarter century. It was stressed that the Sultanate of Oman, one of the first to establish political and economic ties with Kazakhstan, is an important and reliable partner of our country in the Arab world.

Following the results of the event, the representatives of Omani media were given the texts of the Address of the Head of State to the people of Kazakhstan “Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness”, as well as information materials and image products concerning EXPO-2017 and the work of Kazakhstan as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
