Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the missile attack on Riyadh and Jazan
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan condemns the missile attacks on the cities of Riyadh and Jazan, where millions of civilians live.
Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry believes that such attacks, which threaten the lives of innocent people, will not resolve the conflict in Yemen, and further complicate the situation in this country and undermine the security of the entire Middle East region.
We strongly urge all concerned parties to resolve any conflict issues through universally recognized principles of international law.
In this regard, Kazakhstan joins the appeal of the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on the need to put an end to all armed conflicts around the world and to consolidate the efforts of the international community on tackling a common global threat caused by COVID-19 pandemic.
