Specialists from regions are trained on employment of citizens

In Astana based on “Professional Development Course of Social and Labor Sphere Personnel ” the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of Kazakhstan is hosting a two-day seminar on employment issues for the deputies of the departments for coordination of employment and social programs of regions, directors and specialists of employment centers and mayors of rural districts.

Vice- Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population of Kazakhstan Birzhan Nurymbetov, emphasized that employees of employment centers and mayors of rural districts should take active measures to formalize the labor market and involve unemployed and unproductively self-employed citizens in employment assistance measures.

“Today, according to official statistics, in Kazakhstan there are 441 thousand unemployed and 344 thousand unproductively self-employed. These are the categories of citizens we need to pay attention to first of all. The introduction from January 1, 2018 of compulsory social health insurance and a new format for providing targeted social assistance requires us to define the status of each Kazakhstani resident clearly”, – the Vice-Minister noted.

He recalled that since January 1 of the current year the Ministry had started implementing Program for the Development of Productive Employment and Mass Entrepreneurship, which provides: mass training and instilling of skills in demanded professions and entrepreneurship basics, creation of conditions for mass entrepreneurship through crediting, development of the labor market through assistance in employment and support of labor mobility.

“All these tools should be actively used for employment of the above-mentioned categories of citizens”, – Birzhan Nurymbetov emphasized.

During the seminar, representatives of the MLSPP of Kazakhstan together with specialists from the regions will discuss the issues of assigning status to job seekers, unemployed and self-employed unproductive labor, using information system “Labor Market”; organizations of targeted work with women of pre-retirement age, with families of four or more underage children; introduction of E-rural household register of rural districts’ mayors on the basis of the information system “Automated Work Place of Rural District Mayor”; the implementation of special projects on mobilization in labor life within the organization of short-term training.
