SKR launched plant for production of medical devices

Governor of South Kazakhstan region Zhanseit Tuimebayev took part in the opening ceremony of the project Marai E7 Group and got acquainted with the activity of the plant.

“The industrial zones play an important role in the sphere of economic diversification and industrial development of entrepreneurship. One of these zones is the industrial zone “Tassai”. Nowadays the industrial zone, the area of which is 89 hectares, implement 24 investment projects”, Governor of the region Zhanseit Tuimebayev said during the opening of the plant.

Within the project for the launch of the plant Marai E7 Group, which produces orthopedic medical devices the region attracted 393 million tenge of investments. 50 people will be employed.

The enterprise is equipped with the South Korean technology. It is planned to produce 500 thousand bandages and 274 thousand orthopedic products. This type of product is used to provide the medical care for various fractures and features easy, elasticity, flexibility, radiopacity and rapid solidification.

Governor’s office said that the plant, which has no analogues in the CIS countries, is able to provide entire Kazakhstan market with the orthopedic devices. Currently, the company works on the issue of export of products to Turkey, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.

This plant has signed a long term agreement with SK-Pharmacy LLP for 10 years and agreed on joint cooperation.
