Situation in oil products market in the country is stable – K.Bozumbayev
Kanat Bozumbayev, the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan, reported that oil and condensate production amounted to about 21.1 million tons, or 103.5% to the plan for the first quarter of 2017. In general, the situation on the market of petroleum products is stable and there is no deficit on fuel and lubricants. The domestic market is fully provided with domestic fuel and lubricants.
“Within the framework of the approved schedule of diesel fuel supply for spring field work in 2017, 375 thousand tons should be delivered to agricultural producers, including 79,0 thousand tons through the oil refinery and 233 thousand tons via Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant and 63,0 thousand tons through PetroKazakhstan Oil Products. In accordance with the request of the Ministry of Agriculture, the demand for diesel fuel is fully met”, K. Bozumbayev said.
The recommended price of diesel fuel for spring-field works for March and April of 2017 (based on the current price level) is 127,000 tenge per ton (105.4 tenge per liter). Taking into account the transportation and storage, the price of diesel for the agricultural producers will be 117-126 tenge per liter, depending on the region of supply.
The volume of gas production amounted to 13.2 billion m3 (108.5% compared to the same period in 2016), which exceeded the quarterly plan by 4 percent. At the same time, gas exports from the Republic of Kazakhstan amounted to 4.1 billion m3, or 26% more than the same period in 2016.
Electricity production for the first quarter amounted to 27.1 billion kilowatt-hours, which is 10.3 percent more than in the same period in 2016.
