Shusha Complex of hotel-congress centre, the opening ceremony of which was held on May 10 with participation of President Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva and their family members, belongs to “PASHA Holding” through “Absheron Hotel Group” LLC (AHG).
On its corporate website “AHG” provides an information https://absheronhotelgroup.com/future-project about this hotel. Recently “Shusha Hotel” company Ltd (INN: 8600217891) has been registered to manage this hotel and Babek Hasanov as the manager of the company https://az.linkedin.com/in/babek-hasanov-a83897104.
Worthy of note is the fact that this object was presented to the head of state not by “AHG” representative but by Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov at https://president.az/ru/articles/view/59686.
The foundation stone of the complex was laid on 29 August 2021 with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva. The four-storey building of the five-star hotel has 154 rooms, conference and banquet hall, restaurant, swimming pool, spa, fitness and other service sectors.
It may be reminded that during the Armenian occupation there were plans to build a building for the “parliament of the Nagorno-Karabakh republic”. During his first visit to Shusha on 14 January 2021, President Ilham Aliyev said: “The far-fetched regime said it would move the ‘parliament’ to the city of Shusha. So there was to be another attempt to re-armamentise Shusha. This is the building they started to build as the ‘parliament’ of the ‘Nagorno-Karabakh Republic’. However, they didn’t make it in time. We came, the owners of this land came, drove them out of here, so their dirty plans didn’t come true”.
Note that “AHG” has eight hotels under management in Azerbaijan and Turkey. Two more hotels are currently under construction in Aghdam and Tbilisi, Georgia.
