Senators ratify Agreement with Poland on the readmission of persons

Senate deputies ratified the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of Poland on readmission of persons.

The agreement was signed in Warsaw on August 22, 2016.

This document provides procedures of identifying and returning persons who violated the conditions of entry or residence on the territory of States. Under this category fall persons who illegally entered the country, or who have entered legally, but stayed after the expiry of the visa or residence permit, � the Minister of Internal Affairs Kalmukhanbet Kassymov said, presenting the bill at the plenary session of the Senate.

The Minister stressed that the ratification of the agreement will allow counteracting illegal immigration, facilitating the reception and transit of persons who remain in the country illegally, conforming to international law.

Adoption of this law will not lead to adverse socio-economic and legal consequences and will not require additional financial costs, � K. Kassymov assured.

As was noted during the session, this agreement regulates mechanisms of identifying and safe transit of returnees, determines the procedure of granting free travel documents, the conditions for the application of accelerated readmission.
