Senate ratifies agreement with Kyrgyzstan on readmission of persons
The Senate ratified the agreement between the Governments of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan on the readmission of persons.
Today, the plenary session of the Senate considered and adopted the bill On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on readmission and the Executive Protocol on the procedure for implementing the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.
This agreement covers the procedure of identifying and returning persons, who illegally entered the territory of the country, or entered legally, but remained after the expiry of the visa or residence permit. Ratification of this agreement will counteract illegal migration in accordance with international law, as well as facilitate their transit, � the Acting Minister of Internal Affairs Marat Demeuov said presenting the bill.
Adoption of this law, he said, will not entail additional financial costs.
The agreement was signed on October 17, 2016 in Astana.
