SENATE RATIFIED INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENTS
The Senate ratified the Framework Agreement between Kazakhstan and the Nordic Investment Bank (NIB), which is the largest credit and financial institution in the Scandinavian and Baltic countries, Strategy2050.kz learns from the Senate’s press service.
The Agreement establishes standards on currency convertibility and money transfers, tendering under the terms of the NIB, as well as its exemption from taxation.
The implementation of the Agreement will provide Kazakhstan with the opportunity to attract investment in the water supply, transport, energy, industrial sector and other spheres.
The Kazakh-Armenian Intergovernmental Agreement on cooperation in the field of civil defence, prevention and liquidation of emergency situations was also ratified.
The subject of the Agreement is the interaction of the two countries in the field of civil defence, prevention of natural and technological risks, emergency response, training of civil defence specialists in providing voluntary and mutual assistance in cases of accidents, disasters and catastrophes that led to emergency situations.
The Agreement regulates the forms of cooperation, the conditions and types of assistance, the procedure for managing assistance and other issues related to crossing the state border, reimbursement of expenses, damage and financing of the assistance provided.
