Senate Deputy Kairat Kozhamzharov attended the TURKPA Seminar
Kairat Kozhamzharov, deputy of the Senate of the RK Parliament, attended via teleconference the seminar of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries on the Protection of Water and Land Resources in the Light of COVID-19 Pamdemic.
The seminar brought together over 50 participants from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan and various international organizations. During the event, parliamentarians, lawyers and environmental experts exchanged views and experiences in addressing environmental challenges.
In his speech, Kairat Kozhamzharov noted that in the context of the pandemic, the risks of existing water problems aggravation, including undersupply of drinking water, as well as depletion and pollution of water reserves, are increasing worldwide.
The participants recognized the importance of improving and harmonizing national legislations of the Assembly Member States in the field of water and land resources protection and management.
