Secretary of State had working visit to Belarus


Within the visit, which was in July 12-14, Secretary of State of Kazakhstan G. Abdykalikova met with head of the President’s Administration of Belarus N. Kochanova.

During the meeting, the matters on the bilateral cooperation in trade and economy sphere, at the international level and in cultural and humanitarian sphere were discussed.

The Secretary of State noted that the turnover between Kazakhstan and Belarus during the period from January and April of 2017 comprised 160,4 million dollars comparing to the given period of 2016, the turnover increased by up to 76%.

Gulshara Abdykalikova expressed gratitude to the Belarus side for the active participation in the international specialized exhibition EXPO-2017 held in Astana.

In turn, N. Konchanova expressed her gratitude for the visit, as well as for the invitation to the International Woman Forum Women for Future Energy within the sidelines of the EXPO-2017.

Within the sidelines of the visit Secretary of State G. Abdykalikova took part in the opening of the international festival of arts Slavianski Bazaar, that is, the largest cultural forum, which connects countries and continents.

We note that Slavianski Bazaar was established in June, 1992. The international festival is a long-term cultural project between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan, which facilitates to the realization of the humanitarian cooperation, the resurgence and the development of artistic culture and art.

Kazakhstan actively participates in the festival and wins prizes. In 2015, Dimash Kudaybergen won the international competition’s grand prize.
