Russian military provide humanitarian assistance to Kyrgyz families
Military personnel of the Russian Joint Military Base in Kyrgyzstan have provided assistance to more than 20 Kyrgyz families in difficult social situations during the year, the press service of the Kant Military Base reported.
Representatives of the Air Base and the Mercy department at the military temple of Alexander Nevsky transferred humanitarian aid in the form of basic necessities and food to families with many children in need. In addition, the Russian military has repeatedly helped orphanages near the airbase.
The Joint Military Base is part of the Collective Rapid Reaction Force and is involved in ensuring the security of the air space of the CSTO member states.
Kant Air Base is a military air base in Ysyk-Ata District of Chuy Oblast of Kyrgyzstan. It is located just south of the city of Kant, some 20 km east of downtown Bishkek.
