The Ministry of Education of Kyrgyzstan and the Ministry of Education of Russia signed an agreement on the construction of nine schools in the Kyrgyz Republic with Russian as the language of instruction. The ceremony took place on Wednesday following the meeting of the Kyrgyz-Russian Intergovernmental Commission.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk noted that educational institutions are planned to be completed by 2025. Children from 1st to 11th grade will learn in them.

«By signing the agreement, we are creating a solid legal and regulatory framework for the subsequent start of this project this year. This is a truly historic event in bilateral relations, and it gives me great pleasure to be a witness and participant. I am sure that these schools will not only become a second home for the little citizens of our republic who will receive a quality education, but will also create additional favorable conditions for learning and popularizing the Russian language in the country,» Akylbek Japarov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers if Kyrgyzstan, said.
