President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov took part in a meeting-requiem in Bishkek on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The head of state laid flowers at the Eternal Flame and honored the memory of those who died in the Great Patriotic War with a minute of silence.
Further, the Kyrgyz president made a speech, congratulating the veterans of the Great Patriotic War and home front workers on the Victory Day. Sadyr Zhaparov noted that Victory Day is a national holiday that has become a symbol of military prowess, courage and glory. The names of Kyrgyz soldiers are inscribed in golden letters in the history of the Great Patriotic War. The eternal memory of their great feat will forever remain in the hearts and will inspire everyone to new achievements in the name of the further development of their beloved Motherland.
A solemn march of the personnel of the troops of the Bishkek garrison took place.
Then Sadyr Zhaparov personally greeted the veterans of the Great Patriotic War and home front workers, wishing them longevity, good health, and accompanied them to the soldiers’ kitchen.
