Record harvest collected in Kazakhstan

Selector meeting of the Government of Kazakhstan chaired by Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev has summed up this years harvesting.

According to Vice Minister of Agriculture Kairat Aituganov, grain points received 4.6 million tons of grain, including 3.8 million tons of wheat. Share of grain with a level of moisture up to 14.5% is 57.4% in total, which is 24.2% higher than last year.

The regions were timely provided with necessary amount of cheapened diesel fuel for harvesting purposes. For grain drying purposes agricultural producers requested additional 74 thousand tons of diesel fuel. The Government has resolved the issue in a timely manner.

The digital grain receipts, the number of which has reached over 17 thousand to the total of 2.8 million tons to date, have been monitored daily. The largest number of digital grain receipts was issued in the major grain-producing regions: in Akmola region � 7.8 thousand, Kostanay region � 4.8 thousand, North Kazakhstan region � 3.7 thousand.

Fodder conservation works have being continued. Currently, there have been conserved 23.6 million tons of roughage and 1.2 million tons of succulent fodder, that is 17% and 69% more than last years figures respectively.

Over 2 million tons of seeds were reserved for harvest 2017, which is 98% of the demand. South Kazakhsta, East Kazakhstan, North Kazakhstan, Akmola, Karaganda, Kostanay, Kyzylorda regions fullfilled the filling plans.

In conclusion was noted that this 25th year of Independence of Kazakhstan is quite successful for the country’s agriculture. With the support of the Head of State and due to consistent public policy aimed at creating favorable conditions for agricultural business, a record crop was harvested.
