Real incomes of Kazakhstan citizens increased by 4.4% – deputy prime minister
Deputy Prime Minister Yerbolat Dossayev reported to the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev on the implementation of the Five Social Initiatives, reports ortcom.kz referring to the MIA Kazinform
The main priority of our work is to transform economic growth into a real increase in the standard of living of our citizens in accordance with your new social policy. It is fundamentally important that the growth of the economy last year was accompanied by a rapid increase in the real incomes of the population by 4.4%. The five social initiatives announced by you in March 2018 gave a new impetus to further improving the quality of life and increasing the well-being of citizens, said Yerbolat Dossayev, speaking at an expanded meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
On the first initiative, he continued, from July 1, 2018, the mortgage program 7-20-25 was launched, under which 3,600 loans were issued for 43.7 billion tenge.
Total applications received more than 92 billion tenge, – said Deputy Prime Minister.
On the second initiative: from January 1, 2019, the tax burden was reduced 10 times for employees with a salary of up to 63 thousand tenge. This measure will positively affect the incomes of more than 2 million citizens, Yerbolat Dossayev explained.
According to the third initiative, since September 1 of last year, the number of educational grants has been increased by 20 thousand places in the specialties demanded in the labor market. For the construction of new hostels, 100 land plots have been defined.
In the framework of PPP (public-private partnership), 12 contracts with educational organizations have already been concluded. This year, 5,000 new student places in dormitories will be introduced, said the Deputy Prime Minister. On the fourth initiative: in 2018 over 14 thousand microloans were issued for 59.5 billion tenge.
As a result, more than 22 thousand people were provided with work. On the fifth initiative, Yerbolat Dossayev informed, today the issues of financing the construction of the Saryarka gas pipeline have been resolved, the general contractor has been determined.
During the period of the project implementation and operation of the gas pipeline, 1,900 new jobs will be created, he concluded.
