There is an increase in the number of detected COVID-19 cases, this may indicate that the fourth wave is already beginning, Aigul Dzhumakanova, the head of the Laboratory Test Center of the Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision Department told at a briefing in the Government House.

She said that every year there is an increase in the incidence of influenza in the country in November-December. “There are forecasts that this may coincide with the fourth wave of coronavirus infection. I urge citizens to observe security measures and refuse to participate in mass events,” she said.

She also called on the population to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

To-date, 851,778 people have been vaccinated in Kyrgyzstan, according to data of the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19.
